Seminary studies at Urban College
"de Propaganda Fide", Rome.

Ordained a priest on 06 January 1966.

Consecrated as Bishop of Oudtshoorn on 16 July 1983.

In conformity with canon 401§ 1 of the Code of Canon Law,
the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI accepted on Friday 28 May 2010,
the resignation from the pastoral governance of the Diocese of Oudtshoorn,
submitted by Bishop Adams, who has reached the canonical retirement age of 75.
