Rest in Peace - Fr. Alfons Klein 20 May 1938 - 9 April 2018
Oudtshoorn, 9 April 2018

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Fr. Alfons Klein who died in Giessen, outside of Limburg, Germany, yesterday morning, Divine Mercy Sunday. Fr. Klein would have celebrated his 80th birthday next month. The funeral will take place in Germany and later a Requiem Mass will be held at St. Augustine’s, Victoria West.

Fr. Klein was ordained a priest by Bishop Edward Adams on the 20 April 1985 and was appointed to serve in Victoria West and surrounding communities where he was much loved. As he was approaching retirement he was sent to the Capuchin Convent in Swellendam in 2010 where he served the sisters as their chaplain and was well cared for by them. In June 2014 he returned to Germany in order to be closer to his family. Our prayerful sympathies to them all.

Whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. (Rom 14:8)
