St Thérèse in South Africa!

Saint Thérèse of Lisieux

For the first time ever, the Relics of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux - of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face - will come to South Africa, from June till end of September 2010. The impulse came from the Catholic Youth of the Parish Saint Francis of Assisi in Yeoville, Archdiocese of Johannesburg, deeply inspired by the Saint in their faith, and encouraged by her spiritual “Little Way”, as she is one of the youngest Saints of all times.

The arrival of the Relics of Saint Thérèse in the midst of the FIFA Football World Cup gives even a larger reach to the event. From June 27 to July 12, the Relics of Saint Thérèse will be in and around Johannesburg. This period of time also corresponds to the final phase of the FIFA Football World Cup.
